A Journey into Botanical Dyes & Creative Expression

Awaken your creative self through a hands-on, sensory-rich experience where nature and artistry intertwine.

The Tinta Experience is a one-day creative retreat that invites you to explore two captivating natural dyeing techniques—Eco-Printing and Indigo Dyeing—using most of the botanicals grown at the farm.

With Lourdes as your guide, you’ll experiment with eco-printing, transferring the vibrant hues of flowers and leaves onto fabric through flower pounding (Tatakizome) and bundle dyeing. Then, you’ll dive into the deep, mysterious blues of indigo, learning to create an organic indigo vat and explore surface design techniques using resist templates and shapes, melted beeswax, and clay paste.

Each step of this experience is an embrace to the art of slowing down, (re)connecting with nature, ourselves, and each other, and creating wearable art as a tangible memory of our time together.
